ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS (Posted April 2nd, 2024)

Sealed bids will be received by the Service Director of the City of Coshocton, Ohio until 11:00 AM on the May 13, 2024, for the purchase of the following listed materials and supplies for the City of Coshocton in accordance with the plans and specifications now on file in the Office of the Service Director, City Hall, 760 Chestnut Street, Coshocton, OH 43812 and at said address, sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 11:00 AM on May 13, 2024 for:

Each proposal shall be sealed and clearly marked on the outside of the envelope identifying the material/supply of the bid enclosed. Bidders submitting bids for more than one chemical must submit each bid in a separate envelope clearly marked on the outside of each envelope the type of bid enclosed. Multiple bids may not be submitted in the same sealed envelope. Proposals shall be addressed to the Service Director, City Hall, 760 Chestnut Street, Coshocton, OH 43812. Specifications may be obtained at the Service Director’s office at the aforementioned address. Each proposal must be accompanied by a bond with an approved surety company or a cashier’s check on a solvent bank drawn and made payable to the City of Coshocton, Ohio in the sum of $300.00. Should any bid be rejected, each bond or cashier’s check shall be forthwith returned to the bidder; and should any bid be accepted, such bond or cashier’s check will be returned upon proper execution and securing of the contract. The successful bidder will be required to execute a contract within ten (10) days after the award of the contract. In case of failure to execute the contract as stated, the bidder will be considered to have abandoned the contract and the bond or check accompanying the proposal shall be forfeited to the City not as a penalty but as liquidated damages. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to award the contract to the lowest or best bidder. Each proposal must contain the full name of every person or company interested in same. The City reserves the right to reject any bid that does not contain evidence of satisfactory completion of similar contracts. The City reserves the right to waive irregularities in bids and form. LEGAL NOTICE ADVERTISEMENT TO BID (Posted April 2nd, 2024)

Sealed Bids for the construction of Chestnut Street Waterline Replacement for the City of Coshocton will be received by the City of Coshocton in the City Hall at 760 Chestnut Street, Coshocton, Ohio 43812 until 12:00 noon, local time, May 1, 2024 and at that time and place will be publicly opened and read.

The work for which Bids are invited consists of the furnishing of all materials and labor for replacing approximately 4,000 LF of 12” waterline and 440 LF of street resurfacing. The estimated construction cost for this project is $1,300,000.00. Copies of the Contract Documents are on file in the City of Coshocton, 760 Chestnut Street, Coshocton, Ohio 43812; in the office of Engineering Associates, Inc., 1935 Eagle Pass, Wooster, Ohio 44691; and in the Dodge and Builders Exchange offices and are available for inspection by prospective bidders. Contract Documents must be purchased from the office of Engineering Associates, Inc. for a cost of $90.00 per set, none of which is refundable. Bidders are required to register with and obtain Bidding Documents from the office of Engineering Associates, Inc. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. The Owner intends and requires that this project be completed no later than 180 days after Notice to Proceed. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, services and labor in the implementation of the project. Additionally, contractor compliance with equal employment opportunity requirements of the Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123 is required. This procurement is subject to the EPA policy of encouraging the participation of small business in rural areas (SBRAs). Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Coshocton County and the City of Coshocton, Ohio as determined by the Davis Bacon Act. The right is reserved by the Council of City of Coshocton, Ohio to reject any and all Bids, to waive informalities or to accept any Bid which is deemed favorable to the City of Coshocton, Ohio.
